Information and Specializations:

  • Account Director: As an Account Director you will be the officer in charge of accounts in a given organisation. You will be involved in negotiations with the clients. Account directors earn a salary of around $65,000-$115,000. This is often supplemented with attractive bonus packages.
  • Account Manager: You will be required to work and report to an Accounts Director or Sales Manager. You will be assigned to a number of activities based on your qualifications and experience. You will work closely with the clients to ensure they get the best possible service. The salary for this professional is $40,000-$75,000.
  • Account Executive:The most junior of these three roles, you will be responsible for the running of day to day accounts management and administration of the organisation’s customers.

Requirements for Account Manager Jobs

Although not essential, you will be most successful in finding a job in account management with a marketing or general business degree. Other essential skills including relationship development, sales, negotiating and time management.
